Water is the media for Solis Far Infrared energy to circulate through the whole body. Our bodies are approximately 70% water. The water molecules in our body begin to vibrate once they absorb energy with a wavelength between 4 and 14 microns. The wavelength produced in the Solis Sauna is between 4 – 14 microns. 1. Clean the Sauna cover using water and a wet towel. Gently wipe the Sauna surface and then turn on the sauna for a few minutes to dry and sanitize.
2. To maintain cleanliness, place towel on chair and around the neck. After clients or guests use the Sauna let it run for 2 – 5 minutes. The Far Infrared radiator will sanitize itself.
3. The Sauna chair is 51 cm. Most people find this chair to be very comfortable. It is possible to put your feet on the top of the two corner radiator to take pressure off the low back while sitting.

• Do not twist, or pull electric cords.
• Always use the plug when connecting or disconnecting the cord.
• Do not place heavy objects on top of the cord.

Regarding temperature: The air is heated in a traditional sauna and the hot air and steam transfer heat to the person and as the body temperature rises a sweat response is induced. As the body temperature rises, the heart rate and blood pressure increase. Most of the traditional steam or heat therapy saunas can not be used for high blood pressure or heart disease because the heat is too high making it unsafe.

The Solis Sauna does not produce heat to cause the sweat response. The Solis Far Infrared Sauna produces invisible light energy which is absorbed by the body. This invisible light energy increases circulation and the body uses this energy to increase cellular activity. We experience this increased energetic state as warmth. The Solis Sauna user’s heart rate will increase only slightly. An individual using the Solis Sauna will experience that their blood pressure will decrease after a sauna session. Most persons with low blood pressure will experience a slight increase in blood pressure. This is because the far infrared energy is absorbed by the body and this increased energy brings the body into a healthier balanced state.

When people get sick we check their core temperature using a thermometer. The Solis Sauna raises the user’s core temperature only slightly. The Sauna user experiences warmth, heat and perspiration, however this is because the body is absorbing the far infrared energy and this energy causes increased circulation. The blood vessels dilate, and carry more oxygen and nutrients to the tissues. This increased circulation creates our experience of heat and perspiration, while our internal core temperature will change only slightly. This explains why the purified far infrared sauna is safe for people with cardiac health issues.

When comparing the Solis Far Infrared Sauna to other infrared and far infrared saunas it is important to understand how the far infrared energy is produced. Most infrared saunas use electricity to heat up the material jade stone or other mineral and these minerals then release infrared and far infrared wave lengths. The person in this sauna is receiving the infrared energy after the mineral is heated to a certain temperature. Because the source of the power is heat, much of the energy in this type of sauna is from the electric heat that is heating up the mineral. This type of Infrared Sauna requires pre-heating.

Solis Saunas use a patented ceramic semi-conductor chip that transforms electricity directly into purified far infrared energy. The invisible light energy that is released from inside the radiator is the energy source. Solis Far Infrared Saunas and Lamps convert electricity directly into purified far infrared invisible light energy. The fan in our lamps and sauna radiators keep the ceramic semi-conductors cool in the same way that a fan keeps the CPU in your computer cool. Some heat is generated from the ceramic semi conductor chips and some warmth is experienced because the fan moves the energy and the secondary heat.  However, even when a tissue paper is placed next to the semi conductors for a long period of time, it will not burn. This demonstrates that there is not a significant build up of heat from the radiator or fan. The heat that is experienced is radiant heat from the invisible far infrared energy that is absorbed by the body.
